The diversity profession has developed organically as a branch of Human Resources over the last two decades. As yet, there are no formal qualifications required to be a diversity professional. The creation of the Global Diversity List, in 2016, was to address this fundamental weakness in the profession.
No universal, global, independent standard exists that can quantify the performance of organisations in the delivery of diversity.
The GDL is the gold standard for diversity, globally. All organisations who wish to be seen as credible corporate players in the field of diversity will be required to be accredited by the Global Diversity List.
A Global Diversity kite mark will be awarded to everyone on the list for use on websites, emails and social media.

Equality, diversity and inclusion are concepts which are fast becoming part of mainstream thinking – but despite great strides which have been made in recent years, there’s still a long way to go. We believe that by both promoting these core values, and acknowledging those individuals who go the extra mile to ensure a fair playing field for all, we can help advance the diversity agenda so that all members of the community feel they each have an equal stake in wider society.
